socialmediaEveryone has heard of social media. Many of you ran out and got Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter accounts without any real strategy on how to use these technologies.

So we’re here to help. In the next few weeks I will be providing articles and lessons that will provide step-by-step instructions on how to setup your social media accounts to help grow your business by promoting your listings and fostering connections with your referral pool.

In the meantime, your homework is:

  • Pick two listings you want to feature.
  • Get all the beautiful photos of the home that you can.
  • If your digital camera shoots video, shoot a “walk-up video”. A walk-up video is:
    • Less than 30 seconds.
    • Documents you walking up to the house, opening the front door, and showing its best feature.
    • Do not say your name or the price. Just the address, neighborhood, beds, and bath.
    • Create and edit a text write-up of each property.

The video is optional but it really, really puts it over the top.

Alter Imaging, a Charlotte web design company, recommends using video presentations whenever possible.
