First Round of Training Completed, 95% of You Seem Satisfied, Content
I made it through to the offices and discovered I didn’t do a good job of announcing my visit. To that end, here is my calendar of training:
Tuseday 18th – Ballantyne 1-5
Wednesday 19th – Fort Mill 1-5
Thursday 20th – Huntersville 1-5
Friday 21st – SouthPark 1-5 (Red Rocks 5:30-wife calls)
I will call the BICS and office admins for each and also send out an all agent email.
BIG ANSWERS TO BIG QUESTIONS
1.) Where are the mls regions on the search?
Gone for now. Log onto your RIMS site and use the suggestion link to put your vote to get this much needed feature added.
2.) I don’t want to leave my old site with Host Harbour.
You won’t need to abandon the site, just the RE/MAX brand on the property search. Contact either Tom or me with questions.
3.) What does all this cost me?
If you stay with Host Harbour or you use one of my charlotte real estate agent sites it will be $50 a month and $600 setup. If you already paid the setup fee you don’t pay it again. The RIMS site is paid through by your agent dues to regional.
4.) What should I do with my existing site?
Something and real quick! Seriously, if you have a custom solution with Host Harbour, you need to talk to Tom Baucom. If you have a template solution (like Scott’s) then we have plenty of solutions….both in house and using Host Harbour.
5.) Your spelling on this blog is horrible. Don’t you have a spell checker?
Honestly, I don’t use one much. If you see an error, post a comment for that article highlighting wut I did rong and I’ll korrect it real gud.
Seriously, it was a great time meeting everyone and I look forward to doing it again. You must understand that I am a bit overwhelmed right now but I am trying to answer all correspondence in a timely manner. Plus, here are a few other accomplishments.
1.) charlotteproperty.com now goes to the same place as www.charlotteproperty.com.
This may not seem huge but super geeks like me never type the http://www part of a web address and Internet Explorer won’t automatically send you to the www. version of a website. Long story short, you’ll see another increase in leads due to this.
2.) Comprehensive stat tracking from google analytics.
We can now monitor charlotteproperty.com (see? no www!) in much more detail. You can too. Goto www.google.com/analytics to get an invitation. This is a must have tool for later search engine optimization and pay per click campaign analysis.
3.) charlotteproperty.com switched to RIMS.
This is why you are starting to get leads. Charlotteproperty.com is positioned on search engines and is gathering traffic for the agency at large. We have had over 4000 visits since we switched July 4th and about 100 of those have signed up. Try it. Go to www.charlotteproperty.com, do a property search, click on a property, and register for more information. See if that agent manages your lead correctly.
Parting Words
Please don’t think of RIMS as your silver bullet. Nothing is perfect and RIMS is just now gaining momentum. Document the shortcomings, assume they will be dealt with, and move on. The RIMS team, CMLS, and Cindy are all working hard to resolve many difficult issues. We are trying to be as flexible as possible but must do what is best for the company. RIMS, despite its shortcomings, will become your most powerful tool. Think about this, you have remax.com with a billion dollar ad campaign, remax-carolina using $10 per agent for internet only advertising (in addition to what they were already spending on other outlets), and me promoting www.charlotteproperty.com every way I can so our agents get more leads than any other RIMS website in Charlotte.
